About Tata Memorial Centre


The Tata Memorial Centre constitutes the national comprehensive cancer entre for the prevention, treatment and research on Cancer and is comparable to any similar center in the world. Conceptualised in 1935, it was established in 1941 by the Department of Atomic Energy. First managed by the Ministry of Health In 1957 and then by the Department of Atomic Energy in 1962, this institute is a classic example of Public Private partnership for Service, Education and Research in Cancer.
